WHISTLE WHILE YOU WORK
Marlis Kent raced up and down the three stories of the Sunrise Inn, trying to get the place in order for her guests. Between the viruses, broken bones, and extended vacations, the staff was unavailable -- leaving the cooking, cleaning, gardening, and hostessing in Marlis's hands.
She was halfway through the chores when one unexpected guest began ringing the bell on the reception desk. Grant Russell was tall and good-looking with thick dark hair and blue-black eyes so dark a woman could lose herself in them. The last thing Marlis needed was an extra guest, but a good innkeeper never turned away a customer. Even if his bedroom eyes inspired desires that Marlis long ago had put aside.
Soon after Grant arrived, Marlis suspected that he was interested in more than a simple night's lodging. His words were evasive, but his heated kisses were more to the point. Marlis couldn't deny her own passions, but she knew that Grant was hiding something -- some mystery that might threaten to separate them forever.
