Crime Most Foul — George Douglas

When a teenager attacks an old lady, her best friend, Detective Constable Sheldon, wants revenge. Chief Superintendent Bill Hallam of North Central Regional C.I.D. forbids Brenda Sheldon to get involved in the case. Ignoring the ban her investigation, aided by Dave Morgan, leads her to a drug racket in Deniston. The trail is obscure until Molly Bilton tries to help a man involved with the drug pushers, but finds the man murdered, and her own life in danger.
