Between teaching at Green Pastures Elementary School, moonlighting with a progressive rock band, and trying to make time for his girlfriend, Johnny Trevasser's life was plenty complicated enough. He certainly didn't need spooky comments from enigmatic colleague Gayle Phillips, about crop circles, traffic jams, and archaeological excavations to uncover a second Sphinx. Even comments about his students, how one was definitely an Improvisor, another was an Initiator, on and on. There were also the small matters of an extraterrestrial abduction, and the mother of two of his students giving a whole new meaning to the term, Parent Teacher Association. Johnny didn't think he needed any of this, until a free cruise put him at the center of an exceedingly odd plan to save the world, and everything got made new.
