Eryyn and Sawyer live as most street kids do, by picking pockets and breaking into houses for trinkets to pawn. Few kids survive the streets for long. There is always the chance of being sold to factories or farms for slave labor--or worse. If they would live, they must work for The Foreman, who runs his gangs of kleptos with an iron fist. When the brutality of their lives at last gives Eryyn the courage to fight back, she and Sawyer use their only weapon--their wits--to draw street kids into rebellion.
