Classic Record a Song: Christmas Songs is a recordable storybook that enables an adult to record a child singing seven favorite Christmas songs. The book becomes a keepsake, creating a lasting memory of a child s voice. The voice recording is permanent; it will not be lost when the book s batteries are changed. The product is designed for children ages 18 months and older.

Follow these directions to record a child singing the seven Christmas songs:
Turn to a song in the book and practice the lyrics with the child. Next to each song title is a small picture. Find the matching button on the audio module that is attached to the book.
Press the song button and RECORD/STOP at the same time. The music plays, and the child sings along. When the child has finished singing, press RECORD/STOP again. Re-record until you are satisfied with your recording.
Repeat the process with the remaining songs.
Set the locking switch behind the screw-on plate to ensure that the recording won t be inadvertently erased.

Please note that in order for the book to function properly it must be recorded on a flat surface and in a well-lit area, so that the holes located on the right side of the book have an unobstructed view of a light source. The same conditions are also required for proper playback.
