Cherry Dream Murder — Susan Gillard

When Heather Shepherd starts her week picking out flowers for her friend's wedding, the last thing she expects is to be called back to the florist's to investigate a murder.

But expectation and reality differ in Hillside: the florist, Catherine Willard, has been murdered in her store and the motivation seems to be a straight robbery. Heather isn't buying it, though â€" who robs a newly opened florist? She's convinced that Hillside's newest addition, a contractor with suspected mafia ties is the murderer. The trouble is, the evidence points in another direction and she has to follow those leads. Heather embarks on another sleuthin' adventure, armed with her investigative assistant and wiseacre, Amy, a box of Cherry Dream Donuts, and the desire for truth. As usual, trouble is on the horizon and the combination of DNA evidence and a trail of clues serves only to muddle the case.

Heather must solve the mystery before the killer strikes again and the person behind it all flees Hillside with the cash and their freedom.
