Rob Blake is nineteen years old and trying to deal with the death of his father, who was killed performing a motorcycle stunt. Since his father was the head of the family stunt performing team, which included Rob's older brother, John, and Rob; it was the end of performing stunt shows for the two brothers; not knowing how to continue without their father or having the desire to. Their mother turns to drinking alcohol and John drifts from town to town on his motorcycle. Rob is unhappy with what has become of his family and wants to make everything right again. Especially since a daredevil rival of his father's, has gained some fame and has broken some of his father's records. What Rob eventually decides to do will bring his family together again, or will tear them further apart. But, it's a risk he's willing to take.
