Carlene Keim and her husband, Bruce live just outside of Syracuse, Ne. They enjoy their time spent with their three grown children: Brian, Rebecca and Tim. Carlene graduated from Midland University in 1972 with a Bachelor of Arts in vocal and instrumental Music K-12 and a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education. She taught school and substituted for over twenty-five years then worked for four years in her husband's family business until her youngest son, Tim, quit teaching and joined Bruce at the dealership.
Illness took her away from teaching, but she continued on in education as a volunteer tutor and mentor at the Syracuse- Dunbar-Avoca High School another five years after she stopped working for the family business . Presently her time is fully occupied with visiting with family, traveling, singing, canning and freezing fruits and vegetables from her husband's huge garden, going to UNL football, basketball and volleyball games, drawing, painting, and of course, her love of writing.
