Chains of Illusion — Tim Ellis

Detective Inspector Cyrus Kane's working holiday in Cornwall has come to an end. He has returned to Brick Lane Police Station in London to re-join his partner â€" Detective Sergeant Jenny Wells. As well as trying to solve the murder of his wife and unborn child three months' previously, on their first day back a top orthopaedic surgeon is murdered. As they try to fit the pieces of the two murders together, it looks like the killer wants them both dead.
