Her twin sister wrote Andrea from Rumania that she planned to get married. Anxious to see Helene and meet her future husband, Andrea started out for the town of Ubelwollende, the return address noted on her sister's letter.
A short while later, as she stood in the village square, a handsome young man ran up to Andrea and threw his arms around her -- mistaking her for her twin. As soon as Andrea had corrected his error and the man had explained that he was Helene's fiancé, he offered to take her to the Castle where her sister was staying. Taking her first good look at the oddly constructed Castle Ubelwollende from outside its gates, Andrea caught sight of a woman running through the Castle gardens pursued by a black-hooded figure. It was a fitting introduction to the intrigue, murder, and countless horrors that were soon to follow…
