Carnaby and the Eliminators — Peter N. Walker

At the official opening of the Parcester Assizes Mr Justice Broughton, one of Her Majesty's Judges of the High Court, is killed by an assassin's bullet. Within hours, a doctor and a vicar are also murdered. It is up to Detective Carnaby-King to identify the killers, know only as a religious group dedicated to ridding the world of sin. Carnaby meets violence and more death before he is lured into a lottery which has death as its first prize.
