Quite by chance, that old scoundrel, Captain Thomas and his man, Sidney, meet an old friend of Captain Thomas', called Osbert Ponsonby-Smythe. He lends Captain Thomas his fishing cottage., where he intends to stage an elaborate hoax, involving a dummy alien. But out fishing, Captain Thomas lands something more than a big fish and reels in a small UFO!
