Jane Taylor was endowed with the things that made life carefree and pleasant -- exuberant youth, beauty and a doting father. Although enjoying the attentions of young men, one in particular, Chuck Phillips, her only passion was for the sea. Nowhere was Jane happier than sailing her cabin cruiser, the Taylor Maid IV.

Then misfortune struck and Jane had to make her own way. The Taylor Maid was all she had left and it was to be her only means of earning a living. She would run the cruiser as a charter boat, as Chuck Phillips did with the Hurry Up!

Though competitors, Jane couldn't help being grateful to Chuck for his generous help, his understanding and tenderness. But it was the episode of the mangrove swamp that was to bring them closer together.
