Bunny And Claude — Henry Miller

Slud Gulch has problems. The mine is petering out. Violence rules. Bunny and Claude have their hands full keeping what passes for law and order in the community. Farmer John, Bark Fangmonster and the three Coyote brothers are on a rampage and the casualties mount. Just when it seems that nothing could get worse, Grandmother's house is invaded and taken over by a family of masked bandits. Claude is away on mysterious private business. Bunny, with his fast gun, rallies the miners. The deadly intruders go down under the picks, shovels and knives of the miners, their masked leader with Bunny's bullet in his guts. Bunny's sidekick, Peter, is murdered by the Coyote brothers. Bunny takes on the deadly trio, then faces his former friend Claude in a brutal and bloody confrontation only one can survive.
