Colonel George P. Haven. Probably the most despised man in the U.S. Army. Put him in a fort in the Badlands of Dakota -- American territory by law but Sioux land by right. Add the Ball gang -- as vicious a group of robbers and killers as ever roamed the plains -- and an army shipment of gold, and you get trouble. That's when Edge rode in.

He came to murder and to witness murder. Both without emotion. Coldly. He wanted something -- to collect the reward offered for the thieves who stole the army gold. But the Sioux got there first, and then there weren't any thieves left to turn in. That made Edge angry. And when Edge was angry, more people died. Except for one.
