Bloodstains — Andrew Puckett

A clever health administrator suspects from a discrepancy in the figures that blood is being stolen from the Tamar Blood Transfusion Centre in Devon. His view is supported by the discovery in the blood bank of the body of one of the staff, and the simultaneous disappearance of a night orderly. Ex-policeman Tom Jones is sent from the department to investigate…but Tom is terrified by the sight of blood! As he battles with his own phobia Tom becomes aware that nothing at the Centre is quite what it seems, and nearly everyone has something to hide. But he has to face violent death in several forms -- and a threat to his own survival -- before he finds out what's really going on.
