Bella in the City — Sherree Broadhurst

In this entertaining and wonderfully illustrated book, Bella, a little dog, moves with her Daddy and Mummy to the big city. Bella loves to explore the fenced back yard, but when her human family drives away in the car, she finds a loose fence paling, slips through, and runs after them. Bella is hit by another car, but rescued by a woman, Nan, who takes her home and treats her broken leg. Nan sees a "Bella is Lost" poster and phones Daddy to come for Bella. Grateful, Daddy and Mummy take Nan to the Animal Shelter where Nan is able to choose a new dog. Sherree Broadhurst lives in Glenrowan, Victoria, Australia with her husband Bob, and their three small dogs - Bella, Razz and Penny. She is currently completing more books in the Bella series.
