Life for Karen and her unemployed, live-in boyfriend, Michael, is mediocre at best. She spends her days as an underpaid chauffeur while Michael struggles to find work that will somehow pay their rent and bills. But their boring routine is interrupted one day when the news depicts scenes of violence and gruesome killing throughout the country. People are viciously killing each other…but the worst part is, the bodies don't stay dead.

Suddenly Karen and Michael are thrust into a world where no one can be trusted, friends turn on friends, and danger lurks behind every corner. As she battles against the undead and searches for a safe haven, she and Michael struggle to trust one another and keep each other safe. Will their love be strong enough to keep them together? Or is the road to survival one that can only be traveled alone?
