Selfish, self-indulgent, malicious and very beautiful, Anthea realises that she has ship-wrecked her own life.
Having divorced her aristocratic husband, lost her lover to someone almost as lovely and much kinder, and, thanks to an anonymous informer, been jilted by her rich, American fiancé because of her involvement with recreational drugs, she has attempted to commit suicide.
Rescued just in time, she now has to make sense of her life with the aid of a psychoanalyst, her only remaining friend and, surprisingly, her ex-fiancé, with whom she starts to correspond.
This novella, the last in the Random Choreography quintet, follows her towards a possible redemption.
