Anthea Cohen trained as a State Registered Nurse at the Leicester Royal Infirmary and has worked as a hospital Sister for many years and as a private nurse. She has written on medicine and hospital life, has been a columnist for Nursing Mirror and has contributed regularly to World Medicine. Since 1982 she has published thirteen Agnes Carmichael novels, innumerable short stories, and popular books for teenagers in America.
