Epilogue: Your world hasn't been invaded as yet, but it will be. Soon. What happened to my world will happen to yours, because they are the same world aside from some differences of history. Your world is an alternate history from my point of view, but I can still help.
I was put in this world for others to gauge human sentiment and determine the course of human history, which applies to many close parallel probabilities. In my world, I am considered either a goddess, or a veritable Queen of Hell, responsible for the horror, but responsible for mitigating the worst of what would have befallen us as well. All you will have in the way of forewarning is my story. Read it and know that the horrors you will experience are an illusion. Let as many know as possible so that they understand what is happening and determine their personal fate with a better understanding of what is to come. For those of my world who are outraged that my perceived betrayal of humanity extends beyond their simple understanding of reality, I am not on Earth at the moment, so don't bother to come gunning for me. I do not know when I will be back, but when I do return, Earth will be healing, the threats to our continued existence will have ended, and perhaps you will have a better understanding of the role I played in unfolding events.
Crises are occurring elsewhere involving the Jubi and their exodus from a dying sun. They will be with us for some time to come, so my input, our input, is considered necessary to decide how best humanity can contribute to their survival in the future. They are certainly monsters in appearance, but in appearance only, the Jubi and other species I have encountered. Vastly more intelligent than we, most of these beings have the minds and hearts of angels. Those we would consider truly alien and uncaring cannot override the judgment and the will of those who have befriended us. I am hoping that my story of what happened and why it happened along with humanity's recovery in the decades and centuries to come, will vindicate me.
I will return to Earth one day. I was born on Earth. If I wish to remain human, I must die there. The decision on whether to do so, or to face an indefinite future existence with my new friends elsewhere in the universe, awaits, but it is not a decision I must make here and now. It is a decision I dread. I have been shown new definitions of both death and immortality. The most evolved minds cannot die, even by their own hand, and it terrifies me that they envy our illusion of mortality. Here and now, I want to be human in your eyes, mortal even, and a servant of humanity, not its destroyer. As my best friend in the whole universe agrees, having experienced its fair share, blind hatred truly sucks.
