To college freshman Laurel Adams, being chosen to take part in a summer research project in Alaska was a dream come true. For six weeks she and four other students would live in a log cabin deep in the forest conducting an environmental study with the distinguished Dr. Ethan Wells. But the summer turns deadly when Laurel discovers that poachers are killing Alaskan brown bears.
Laurel and her fellow researchers decide to conduct their own investigation to find the culprit.
