Against the Run of Play — Kiru Taye

Asher, a soccer player and reformed bad boy, is going through a difficult season due to injuries. He finds solace in the company of the vibrant Vivi. Spending time with her brings calm and stability to Asher's life. However, when he learns Vivi's full identity, it becomes clear she is not the woman anyone wants for him. Vivi, who is in seclusion after a turbulent relationship, finds joy and excitement in Asher's presence but chooses to walk away because of past hurts. Nonetheless, Asher is determined to turn his life around on and off the pitch, against all odds.
