When civilization crumbles after oil and natural gas suddenly runs out in the middle of winter Derek, a salesman, finds himself trapped just outside a city in the deep north of Ontario. Thrown into this new world with little else but the clothes on his back he has to fight to survive versus not only the brutal cold but what other men have decided to become now that the law no longer exists.
