Adrin — Emily White

As a caravan traveler with his father, Adrin never had much of an opportunity to learn and make friends, especially when his appearance wards off most people. When he's invited to attend a prestigious school full of history and magic by the renowned teacher Madin, he reluctantly takes the opportunity, even more unsure of his choice when people keep mistaking him for someone who should have been dead. He is quick to make new friends, including a strange creature whose name is Mauldon, an energetic nymph named Opyva, a friendly dwarf named Meldote, an apprehensive girl who goes by Venia, and the mysterious Satinae.Amidst his studies, Adrin is given a quest to complete: kill the tyrannical king. He doubts he can accomplish such a thing, but his friends swear to help him-and themselves along the way-so he has little choice but to accept. It will not be easy, but with additional obstacles thrown into their path that is out of their control, how can Adrin do what's expected of him? Or will his failure disappoint his friends, his future...and himself?
