Effie has lived by herself, in the forest, for a very long time. The woods are what gives her the inspiration to paint; she often paints scenes of the same character. Her character is an elvish man named Kirinti, and over the years, she developed an obsession with everything having to do with him. But for some reason, she doesn't quite control what she paints him doing. So one day, when she stops painting and finds that she has painted Kirinti dying, it saddens her to the point of tears. The next morning, all of her paintings are gone. She would have been distraught, had it not been for the fact that in the distance, a figure can be seen on the ground. A slightly elvish figure. And that's where her story begins.
