A Question of Loving — Marjorie Gardner

Young, vivacious Faraday James seems to do everything wrong from the moment she hits Santa Cruz, where the market-research firm the employs her is holding a week-long training session. She gets on the bad side of a handsome but oafish man who turns out to be Greer Taggert, the acting head of the firm. On the first day of the session, Greer make Faraday feel hopelessly incompetent. Then, when she conducts two test interviews on the outside, the result are disastrous.

Even more disastrous are the emotions churning inside Faraday. For she had grown to love the difficult Mr. Taggert even though he seems to think so little of her -- and is practically engaged to the one glamorous blonde in the company that no man can resist.
