To her friends, Dr. Sarah Madison is practically married to her career as a successful researcher at a Kansas City children's hospital, on her way to find a cure for leukemia. She's too serious, too intimidating to men, and she certainly doesn't know how to have fun.
So, on a whim, she accepts their dare: ask a complete stranger out for a date but under no condition tell him that she's a doctor. But there's one problem with this prescription. Her date, Marshall Adams, is presenting some unusual symptoms.
The fun, and the romance, are just what the doctor ordered as Sarah and Marshall perform a delicate operation balanced by clever deception and manipulation.
