His plans are foiled over and over again, which leaves Baker happy and Fly more than a little disappointed. Will Fly get inside the bakery? Or will Baker keep his sweets safe from the pest?This children's picture book is great for kids who love sweets. Smith does a great job at combining different art styles to create a delicious and fun environment. This fast-paced read may not have an explicit lesson but educators and parents could easily discuss concepts such as sharing, patience, inference, and perseverance after reading this book. Fans of mixed media picture books such as On the Night You Were Born by Nancy Tillman or How to Read a Book by Kwame Alexander will enjoy the art style and accompanying story.
