Amateur sleuth Molly Appleby has a keen knowledge of antiques, a special fondness for collectibles, and a canny acquaintance with the criminal mind...
Covering the famous Heart of Dixie antique show for Collector's Weekly, Molly gets an unwelcome scoop when she finds a dead body in her hotel's lush conservatory. The deceased is Tom Barnett, a dealer of medical antiques, who appeared worried and far from sober the night before. It seems that his reputation for honesty has developed a few cracks: His ex-wife claims he owes her child support, and a big-shot Manhattan dealer insists that a valuable blanket chest in Tom's booth legally belongs to one of his own clients. When one of Tom's antiques is stolen and a second dealer is attacked, Molly knows she's got to find the killer before Heart of Dixie becomes Heart of Darkness...
