Every morning at 8:10 the tall, handsome redheaded young man entered the ancient elevator in the State's Capitol building and every morning Pam Pomeroy eyed him through thick dark lashes, wondering who he was. It might have been weeks before she found out, if the elevator hadn't stranded them between floors one day for an unorthodox introduction.
