Out in the country, a few miles from the city, sits an upscale neighborhood, seven homes of 15,000 square feet or more, surrounded by a ten-foot wall. Thick foliage keep most people from knowing the residential palaces exist. Still, even with a full-time security force of five for the four-hundred acre development, a moat and drawbridge to deter visitors, and a thumbprint needed to lower the drawbridge and drive through the opening in the wall, four teenage boys manage to get inside, a resident is murdered, and another resident is missing. The police quickly establish that the teenage intruders are not guilty of murder, and so they question everyone in order to narrow their list of suspects and find the murderer and the missing resident.
