“The Call” is the first book that is part of a multiple fantasy series that follows 20-year-old Kiara's newly chosen life with a kind and handsome sorcerer, her family and friends, as they try to save her village from an evil sorcerer, and at the same time becoming who she was born to be.



In this short read, Kiara has lived in in Heatherwood, a small village in Ireland, her entire life. Her village is ruled by a kind and very handsome sorcerer, Lord Ardan, who has been lord and ruler for almost an entire century.



Kiara inadvertantly overhears Corrick, the cousin of Lord Ardan making plans to attack her village. Villagers are not allowed to go to the castle on the hill where Lord Ardan lives, so Kiara realizes the only way to get this information to him is to participate in an upcoming Bridal Ceremony where Lord Ardan will choose a mortal bride, even though she had always hoped she would marry for love, not for conviencence.



As Kiara prepares herself for this important ceremony for her village, she also learns that it is important to prepare for her future and become the person she was born to become. She also learns that a deep connection can happen with the right person, even if he is a sorcerer.
