Susan Gordon felt delighted when magnetic Chet Williams, the New Orleans textile tycoon, hired her to catalogue the books in his huge library. She admired Bells Acres, his lovely mansion. And she was fascinated by the man himself, who had recently been acquitted of killing a nightclub singer. But her life at the posh estate became a nightmare when a phantom in red, looking just like the singer, appeared--as if to give Susan a warning.
