Anita Wade was on her way to school. Now she's on the way to the emergency room. A victim of a hit-and-run accident, she's unconscious -- maybe dying.

The only witness is a night club comic, Bobby Carlton. He'd like to come forward with what he knows, but he's afraid to get involved. He is already too involved with his own life -- and death. Nick Braff swore off booze. At least that's what he told Dr. Stillman. If he had, he wouldn't have been late to work. And he wouldn't have hit Anita Wade. Now he sees just one option -- suicide.
