Mallory Tremane has just left her abusive husband. After a year of marriage, she's had enough. She stares out the back of the cab window with all she owns in one suitcase headed for her getaway; a cruise to help her forget what she's done to herself and start over. Ben Horne has lost his wife in a horrific traffic accident and decides to sell his share of the law office he co-owns. He signs up for a cruise to get away from the house that holds so many memories of his dead wife. The two meet and form a bond that surprises both of them. The attraction is quick but Mallory can't tell Ben about her horrible life. She's sure she's made yet one more mistake in liking a man too quickly - but maybe Ben is different.
