Millions of Cats — Wanda Gag

Wanda Gag's “Millions of Cats” was first published in 1928 and was a winner of a 1929 Newbery Honor. It is the story of an elderly couple, who because they are very lonely want the companionship of a cat. When the husband sets out to find one he finds more than just one, he finds millions. Unable to decide which one to pick as their pet he decides to bring home all of them. Realizing they are unable to care for all of them they must decided which one they will keep. “Millions of Cats” is a whimsical picture book which has enchanted readers ever since its first publication.
