Fancy's Way — Walter A. Turner

Fancy's Way follows Lt. Dan "Gator" Fancy from the time he transfers to Miramar Naval Air Station. He is being given a second chance after too much drinking, the death of his infant daughter and subsequent divorce threatened to derail his career. Assigned to the Gunfighters of VF-124, the squadron deploys to the Western Pacific on the carrier Enterprise. The cruise takes the ship and its embarked airwing from Hawaii to Korea and ultimateley to the dangerous skies over Iraq.
