Jayne is a hunter on assignment, but she and her partner have been captured and put in an unenviable position.

Tied to a rack, Jayne is bled while her partner Denel is tormented into a foaming frenzy. When he is given her blood as a key for attack she closes her eyes but what happens is way out of her jurisdiction.
