The saga of Aredyrah continues as Dayn and his sister return to Kirador to find things very different from when they left. Their home has been ransacked, their parents missing, and disturbing evidence speaks of spell-work done at Dayn's expense. Frightened, they go to the nearest place they know of for answers, the homestead of their uncle, Haskel, a man who has never been accepting of Dayn's differences, and even less so of his own son's. Meanwhile back in Tearia, Reiv has happily settled into the quiet life of a Shell Seeker. But that is about to change. A plague is spreading across Tearia, and the King, Reiv's brother, is intent on burning it from the land. While Reiv and his friends face annihilation, Dayn faces challenges of his own. His disappearance from Kirador months before has started a witch hunt that threatens not only his safety, but the very existence of his clan. Will the Fire and the Light of the Prophecy be extinguished by the darkness that is descending upon them?
