Lydia — Thomas M. McDade

In 2016, a long, short story titled Saints Alive was accepted by Typeface Magazine. I signed a publication contract. Two weeks later it as rejected. I broke the story down into five pieces. Lydia: An Introduction is the first. Lydia is a troubled and spunky waitress who falls for a dishwasher named Lofty who is obsessed with all the saints in heaven. Their relationship weathers many storms. The remaining four stories will be posted on Smashwords in days to come.
