Description
An Islamic military guard sits atop Mount Moriah while the millennium changes. The heavens above boil and rumble with an approaching storm. Soon the amazed Arab sees things that stupefy him. The very air charges with other worldly electricity, and soon visions of things to come overwhelm him. Saudi terrorists congregate 18 days later in the White Mountains of Afghanistan, preparing to film their preparations, and last will and testaments for those vowed to carry out allah's will for killing the infidels of the west. Their supreme leader is there to urge them onward. The group will soon become the most infamous of terrorists in the history of man. Osama Bin Laden leaves them, then, and stares into the sky just outside the mountain cave. A disk of solar brightness hovers above the tallest spire of the region, and then is gone. Blake Robbins works on things to do with military technologies in his 88th floor office of World Trade tower 2 in lower east Manhattan. He is liaison between the U.S. and EU and Transportech, the civilian contractor for those governments joint effort in producing cloaking technologies. The north World Trade Tower is struck by a jetliner. Robbin's secretary finds him staring at a computer screen whose power looks to be turned off. The monitor has on the darkened screen the words "The Kingdom come" The smoke from the terrorist attack drifts and covers most of New york City, including the air outside Morgan Lansing's apartment. Her roommate awakens early in the morning, and confronts Morgan's Rottweiler at the end of his mistress's bed. The dog grumbles ominously, and the girl sees a dark cloud-like being exit Morgan's body, and leap through the apartment's wall. She faints into coma. Morgan's brother, Clark Lansing, talks with his sister from the place of his assignment as a freelance journalist. He is investigating Bigfoot sightings. His interest is life-long, stemming from troubling dreams both he and Morgan have had since childhood. Their father and mother, Mark and Lori Lansing, have watched their children closely, because of their past history with the same kinds of visitations and experiences with things that can't be explained as part of the natural world. Morgan meets Blake Robbins while jogging behind her Rottweiler in Central Park. The tall, charismatic Robbins seems interested in her, and she later gets a call for her to meet him at a mid-town restaurant. He is a no show, when she and her close friend, Kristi Flanigan, go to the rendezvous. Morgan's boss at the ad agency wants her to go to dinner with a client's representative. The dinner engagement falls apart, when the man assumes she will be his private plaything, while in the city. Her boss apologizes, and she is promoted to account executive. Soon, Blake Robbins is at her office building, talking her into representing his firm in the area of public relations for her ad firm. Her brother, Clark, is contacted by a mystery woman, and soon she has convinced him he should meet her in Colorado. She is a mole within the Defense Department, and wants to divulge things about DOD treatment of Islamic prisoners as part of her real passion to see to it that prisoners are treated fairly. She will clue Clark in on the Bigfoot sightings and what they are all about, in exchange for him to do an expose on the treatment of prisoners. Morgan begins to become infatuated with Robbins, while Clark finds the woman irresistible. Robbins takes Morgan to the top secret facility in the Colorado mountains. Clark meets the girl in a town near the same facility. They drive into the inner-mountain complex. Neither Morgan, nor Clark know they are both being drawn into a plot that is beyond top secret. When Lori and Mark Lansing haven't heard from their children, they worry. They try to find answers to their sudden silence. Christopher Banyon, who like the Lansings was involved in strange governmental/paranormal occurrences in the late 1960s, sees a troubling vision, of the sort he hasn't had since those past times. Suzi and he contact Lori and Mark, and they decide they must look further into the intrigues involved. George Jenkins, a black ops chieftain within the Department of Defense, carries on super-secret projects, among them experiments with the RAPTURE device (Rapid Atomic Particle Transmolecular Unification Reassembly Energizer). This and other technologies are spawned from Roswell and before, and has been in development since the 1960s. Additionally, a paranormal unit conducts experiments with hybrid creatures created through similar reverse-engineered technologies. He is charged by human government, and by those from times and places of another sort, with separate, distinctive imperatives. Morgan and Clark Lansing and their parents, grandparents, and going back much farther in both family geneologies, are essential to see to it the imperatives are met. Morgan comes face to face with certain of the experiments, her courageous canine saving her on one occasion, and her brother on another, while Clark becomes a fugitive from the diabolists grip. Dr. Randal Prouse joins with Christopher and Suzi Banyon, when Mark and Lori, in search of their children, turn up missing after the party experiences a UFO encounter in the night skies over Colorado. David Prouse, Dr. Prouse's grandson, joins with Morgan's friends, Kristi, and Cassie (now miraculously recovered from her coma) as they all congregate near the secret Colorado mountains complex. Nigel Saxton, a young UK operative of MI-7, observes the valleys between mountains, where his superiors know, from satellite intelligence, that strange flying craft are lifting and melting into the valley floor forests. Saxton is joined by the younger people, and Clark, who is rescued by the Brit and the Rottweiler. Together they seek Morgan, and the elder Lansings, who are held within the other worldly laboratory settings. Thus to utilize the results of the genetics tampering that has been conducted within the family for generations. Lori and Mark's Christianity will play a key role in the fight against forces that are beyond fighting through other methods.
