Flight of the Valkryie — T. Michael Butcher

Ben and Jeff have been lost in space since the end of the Miniran war. Their parents, after ensuring Earth was safe, set out on a quest to find their sons. For Ben and Jeff, they would find allies and enemies, be catapulted through time, and fight many battles before meeting up with their parents. The reunion would be short; the Valkryie had earned a reputation. Its destruction was now the prime objective of the largest empire in that galaxy. What had started as an innocent response to help a vessel under attack blossoms into an open revolt of various systems in the galaxy. The Sun Chaser and the Valkryie now have to fight and help organize anew republic, before they can return home to Earth. It promises to be anon-stop fight from one end of the galaxy to the other, with no safe haven.
