Description
Dr Tim Fiddler, an archaeologist in the Near Eastern Department of the British Museum, is presented with a stone tablet by freelance reporter Heather Turner who claims to have recovered it from the bombed out ruins of an ancient Sumarian palace at Sippara, now in Iraq. Tim is suspicious but sends the tablet for date testing and it turns out not only to be genuine but of considerable antiquity. As he begins to translate the hieroglyphic inscription on the tablet he realises that its message has earth-shattering significance to mankind.
