Five years after the disappearance of her son, Lois Doss returns to the Holy Land to resume her archaeological research of the cave on the newly surfaced island in the Mediterranean Sea. After encountering a mysterious figure at the airport, she is given a strange gift, the lost journal of Dr. Rudy Geiger. It contains the first real clues to her son's disappearance as well as painful answers to questions she has been unwilling to face. Only dimly aware of the dark and powerful forces surrounding her, Lois must search for answers in the journal penned by the hand of Dr. Geiger, the only other person to disappear on the same night as her son Logan.
