This novel was written to bring to the attention of the readers the great loss of valuable organs that could save hundreds of thousands of lives. In the USA there is a backlog of 40,000 kidneys and over 300,000 livers. Patients waiting for heart transplants are dying everyday because good healthy organs are being destroyed by buriel and cremation. Organ transplants come from various donors, it's just that you don't know who, or what is donating them.
