Emily could not believe what she was looking at. It was an extremely large grotesque crab-like creature, as tall as a human, with 10 legs. It kind of resembled the giant Japanese Spider Crab known as the “tall-legged crab” - a type of species that used to live in the waters off the coast of Japan. Maybe it had grown to its gigantic size due to chemical poisoning in the waters around Japan after the Third World War, she thought to herself. No matter what, its leg size was as wide as a man's leg and it looked very strong. It must have evolved to partly look like a human because it had human-like webbed feet. It was swinging an axe in its massive claws as it chopped up driftwood. Emily remembered from her marine studies that this type of species was from the subphylum of Crustacea. In other words, it was a giant malformed crustacean crab.
