Description
A single phone call can change a person's life, and when Rebecca Brown gets that call from a private investigator who claims he has information about her biological father, she's ready to take a chance. But high hopes lead her to disaster. The P.I. is murdered before she can get the name she's longed to hear for so long, and she's left with only two clues -- two tickets to Phoenix and a 48-hour deadline.
Nothing ventured, nothing gained. Rebecca is on the first plane to Phoenix and looks up TV reporter Phillip Grant, an old flame, the moment she arrives. He's interested in the story, and in Rebecca. As they get closer to each other, and closer to finding out what they need to know, someone else is getting very nervous. When yet another investigator turns up dead, they realize the frightening truth: Though the deadline is still hours away, Rebecca could be out of time. . .
