When Doctor Gina Mason joins her god-father in his Tenderden practice, she finds friction between Adrian and Norman Taylor, the two partners. The cause is Irene Morrison, an attractive, but neurotic woman who is a danger to herself and to those with whom she comes into contact. While stealthily drawing Adrian Taylor into her life, she finally endangers the reputation of the practice.
