Yoko Noda, a college student barely 20 years of age, becomes involved with a seemingly successful, married man in his late 30's, Takashi Sato. But Takashi's life is falling apart. His wife has a terrible secret that threatens to destroy their relationship. His company, Sato Metal Industries, is going under. And one day while driving to work, Takashi accidentally hits and kills a child. Although he is found innocent, the child's family hounds him.
